"How to Set Various System Times"

Summary: must know the current "Installer Code". Can program define\change: the front door entry and exit delay times, the entry delay time of all other house exterior doors as well as how long the bell or siren sounds at alarm before it shuts off.
Background:
The Digital Security Controls (DSC) Power632's PC1555MX circuit board is programmable.
Via keypad programming, the Power632 is tailored to a specific installation, home.
The Power632's PC1555MX is shipped from the factory with 2 default codes: "Master Code" and "Installer Code".
The "Master Code" is used to enter, edit or delete arm-disarm access codes. The default "Master Code" is 1234.
The "Installer Code" is used in all other PC1555MX programming. The default "Installer Code" is 5555.
When a Power632 is professionally installed, the installer may or may not have changed the "Installer Code."
When a Power632 is professionally installed, once all programming has been completed and the system is fully functional, the installer may or may not have program "locked" the PC1555MX.
"Locking" the PC1555MX prevents additional program changes.
If programming changes to the Power632's PC1555MX circuit board are required and you wish to do program changes do-it-yourself (DIY), you must know the current "Installer Code" and the PC1555MX circuit board must be "unlocked" or you must unlock it using the current "Installer Code."
System times
There are 4 programmable system times that you might want to adjust from either the factory default or what the installer might have defined as valves:
Front or main exterior door entry delay time in seconds. This defined time period is how much time a system user has to disarm the system via a keypad upon house entry. If a valid disarm code is not entered in a keypad in the defined time, the system will sound the bell and a phone call made to the remote monitoring company.
Non-main exterior door(s) entry delay time
(2) in seconds. This time can be defined and associated with other
exterior entry door or doors. For example, if you home has 3 exterior doors, you
may want to define that all doors other than the front and main door has longer
entry delay times to allow you to make it from the door to where a keypad is
located to disarm the system.
Front or main exterior door exit delay in seconds. This defined period is how much time a system user has after arming the system via a keypad and actually shutting the open door and leaving. If the door is not shut and locked inside the time allotted, the system detects and intrusion event and sounds the bell as well as makes a phone call to the remote monitoring system.
Bell (siren) cutoff after XXX seconds. Rather than have the bell sound continuously and potentially for hours, at a detected system event, the PC1555MX can be programmed to shutoff the bell after a specified period of time.
How to program system times:
Go to a keypad and enter the following:
* 8 "current Installer Code"
Again the default "Installer Code" is 5555 and if you do not know of any other "Installer Code" try the 5555 code.
If your keypad's "Armed" light emitting diode (LED) lights up and\or your liquid crystal display (LCD) say "Program", the "current Installer Code" is valid
Now enter 991 # #
Your PC1555MX is now program "Unlocked".
If your keypad "Arm" light does not light and you do not see "Program" or its equivalent on your keypad, the default "Master Code" has been changed. See Below.
Note: valid entries for system times are a 3-digit number between 001 and 255 seconds (sec) or minutes (min).
System times are programmed via the following keypad entry format:
* 8 "Current Installer Code" 005 (3-digit sec Entry Delay) (3-digit sec Entry Delay 2) (3-digit sec Exit Delay) (3-digit min Bell cutoff) # #
So for example, I want an entry delay of 120 second on the main door, a 180 second delay on all doors other than the main door, a door exit delay of 120 seconds and a bell cutoff of 5 minutes, I would enter the following sequence at keypad:
* 8 "Current Installer Code" 005 120 180 120 005 # #
Note that the keypad is not going to display your entries so be careful in inputting your system time definitions.
If you do not know the current "Installer Code":
If when you try to unlock the Power632 circuit board PC1555MX, the system will not go into the "Program" mode, then what you know as the "Current Master Code" is invalid. You options at this point include:
- Contact the previous homeowner and ask if he knows current "Installer Code."
- Contact the security company that installed your system and see if they have the "Current Installer Code" in their records.
- Replace the PC1555MX circuit board either do-it-yourself (DIY) (PC1555MX circuit boards are available on eBay and other websites) or have a security company do it for you. If the PC1555MX is replaced, all programming unique to your home will have to be entered into the PC1555MX.
