Remove a Detector or Wireless Keypad from System

Suppose, for whatever reason, one smoke detector has started sounding false alarms or a universal transmitter or wireless keypad is not checking in with the central controller (CC) like it should, you can remove the offending detector or wireless keypad from your AT&T Home Security System by performing the following steps:

 

(1) Go to the CC and using a wireless keypad, enter your home's security code and press “OFF”.

 

(2) Press and hold the CC 's “TEST/DEMO” button until "0." appears in the LCD window.

 

(3) Go the universal transmitter, smoke detector or wireless keypad causing the problem, open it up and remove the battery(s).

 

(4) Go back to the CC and press "TEST/DEMO" once to clear the LCD window back to "0".

 

(5) Using a wireless keypad, enter your home's security code and press "OFF" and then press and hold the CC's "TEST/DEMO" button and then immediately press and hold all CC buttons until "C.C." appears in the CC's LCD window. At this point, you have just cleared the CC's memory of all system detector or wireless keypade ID codes. (Note that every detector or wireless keypad in your system has a unique ID code that is set into dipswitches inside the detector or keypad.)

 

(6) Press and release the CC's "TEST/DEMO" button to return the system to "0" in the status window. Now, over the next 8 or 9 hours, all detectors and wireless keypads will check-in with the CC and the CC will remember all active transmitters minus the one or more you removed from the system.
