I use Spyware Doctor on my computer. Spyware Doctor is a very good guard against various Internet threats.
The default configuration of Spyware Doctor is to check every disk file creation or copy.
Unfortunately, when the number of transactions in the Investment Cost Basis Master becomes very large, Spyware Doctor takes so much time to verify that a file creation or copy is not infected that it negatively impacts the processing of the Investment Cost Basis Master. Negatively impacts meaning that the Investment Cost Basis Master crashes.
After a significant investigation into the problem, to include the potential for a complete application rewrite, I have concluded that the only solution is to modify Spyware Doctor settings.
If you are running Spyware Doctor please take the following actions to ensure you do not get Investment Cost Basis Master system crashes:
1.Open Spyware Doctor.
2.Click on "On Guard"
3.Click on "File Guard"
4.In the right panel, click on "Disable this guard".
5.Close Spyware Doctor.
Although "File Guard" is a nice feature of Spyware Doctor, is certainly is over and above what is needed to ensure your system does not get infected.
